United Way of Jasper County is focused on results. We require our funded community partner agencies to submit a 6 month review of their programs. We asked them to tell us and you about their challenges and their achievements to date. Here are some of the results and just a few examples of where your United Way donation is going, and the impact you are making on the community:
- 99% of all Jasper County classrooms are invovled in JCCPCA's Sexual Abuse Prevention training.
- 96% of Camp Fire youth showed an increase in positive interaction with peers, greater social skills, decreased outbursts and an increase in demonstrated leadership skills.
- Through its scholarship program, Baxter Early Learning Center makes preschool available to children in low and middle income families in the Baxter community. Baxter ELC has seen the number of preschool students triple in recent months.
70% of participants in the Teen Leadership program through Aces Teen Center demonstrated increased leadership skills by planning, organizing and completing a community service project with the Animal Rescue League.
100% of the Scouting units in Jasper County participated in Boy Scout camp where skill development, recognition and mentoring takes place. 6 scholarships were awarded to Jasper County youth to allow participation at the scout camps.
- Clearview Recovery, Inc. provides treatment and occupancy to women and their children in Jasper County. Clearview Recovery reports 75% of the clients in the previous year's Access to Treatment program are actively employed or involved in full-time educational endeavors.
- 68% of individuals in Progress Industries Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) program demonstrated progress in community independence activities such as banking, leisure, shopping and socialization.
